On May 16, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic Radek Pech and representatives of the Czech RSJ Investments Foundation met with the management of the Kyiv City Emergency Hospital.

The Ukrainian medical utility informed the participants about the current situation of the hospital, in particular its energy supply. The participants visited a demonstration project of a biomass boiler house in operation at the hospital, which fully provides the hospital with heating and hot water. The Czech Foundation is considering installing a network of 60 similar alternative fuel boilers at other facilities.

“In the context of the ongoing Russian shelling of energy infrastructure, one of our key priorities remains to support the development of distributed generation in Ukrainian communities, especially at critical infrastructure facilities and points of invincibility”, said the Ambassador.
